The Climate Reality Project

Saturday, October 5, 2019

Get the latest facts on the climate crisis, and tips on how together, we can solve it.

Climate Reality Leadership Corps member Harriet Harvey Horn will deliver the most current version of Al Gore’s Climate Reality presentation (as seen in the documentary "An Inconvenient Truth") that aims to answer three key questions: Should we change?  Can we change? Will we change?

She'll also provide hope, in the form of information as to what we as individuals can do.

About Harriet Harvey-Horn
Harriet Harvey-Horn was trained by Al Gore and the Climate Reality Project in Los Angeles in August 2018 to present the latest facts about climate change. She is part of the Climate Reality Leadership Corps, which consists of over 17,000 leaders from over 120 countries worldwide who have been trained by scientists and experts to give Al Gore’s latest presentation on the climate crisis and solutions. She also participates in the Healthy Climate Alliance, an organization dedicated to going beyond emissions reductions to interventions that will restore the climate, as well as the Sierra Club.

In her climate advocacy efforts, Harriet utilizes her 35+ year background in the high-tech industry as a contractor, product marketing, and engineering executive for electronic design automation, semiconductor, electronic systems, and renewable energy companies.  She also brings over 20 years’ experience in governance and leadership roles for non-profit boards and volunteer organizations. Harriet holds an MBA from Santa Clara University and BS in Electrical Engineering from Texas Tech University, as well as certifications in climate modeling (University of Chicago) and energy systems (University of Illinois, Champaign Urbana), and is currently working toward another in Sustainable Cities (Lund University).

About the Climate Reality Project
The Climate Reality Project is a non-profit organization involved in education and advocacy related to climate change. The organization is a consolidation of two environmental organizations, the Alliance for Climate Protection and the Climate Project, both founded in 2006 by former U.S. Vice President Al Gore, who currently serves as chairman of the board of directors. The organization brought together the aims of its two predecessors to focus on education initiatives related to climate change, as well as to continue to develop a grassroots network to address climate change.
