The City of Menlo Park is currently conducting a yearlong study to investigate the feasibility of a transportation management association (TMA). A TMA is typically an independent, nonprofit entity consisting of local businesses and institutions and organized to manage and market transportation programs as alternatives to driving alone. Menlo Park’s Police Explorers begin their eighth annual coat drive. The cold and rainy weather is here, and the need has never been greater. The City is looking to identify and address existing flooding and ponding areas and we want your feedback!

City Council to take action on newsracks

At the October 29, 2019, City Council study session on unmaintained and abandoned newsracks in Menlo Park, staff presented an overview of past actions on the issue and asked the City Council to give direction on next steps. Following that, staff began work on updating a draft ordinance that establishes regulations for newsracks and gives the City the ability to remove unpermitted newsracks.
