Transportation Master Plan Oversight and Outreach Committee meeting on December 6, 2018.
The Transportation Master Plan Oversight and Outreach Committee is holding their next meeting Thursday, December 6, 2018, at 6:00 p.m. at the Arrillaga Family Recreation Center, Oak Room. They will be reviewing and discussing updates to the draft recommendations for the Transportation Master Plan.
The committee has been meeting over the last few months to provide feedback on the draft strategies and recommendations that the City could implement to address its transportation challenges. After the committee meeting, staff and the consultant team will score and rank the recommendations to share with the community via an online open house and in-person workshop scheduled for early 2019.
The Transportation Master Plan is the City's first and will provide the ability to identify appropriate projects to enhance the transportation network, conduct community engagement to ensure such projects meet the communities’ goals and values and prioritize projects based on need for implementation. When completed, the Transportation Master Plan will provide a detailed vision, set goals and performance metrics for network performance and outline an implementation strategy for both improvements to be implemented locally and for local contributions toward regional improvements. It will serve as an update to the City’s Bicycle and Sidewalk Plans.
Following development of the master plan, the Transportation Impact Fee program update will provide a mechanism to modernize the City’s fee program to collect funds toward construction of the improvements identified and prioritized in the master plan. This plan is intended to serve as a Citywide plan and will prioritize efforts for individual neighborhood concerns and issues.
