The General Plan is the City’s “constitution” for physical development. All decisions regarding land use, development, transportation and infrastructure should be consistent with the General Plan. The City Council has requested an update to the M-2 (General Industrial Zoning District) Area portion of the General Plan and the City now seeks Menlo Park residents to serve on the General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) and participate in the update process.
As a member of the GPAC, you will be the connection between your community and planning staff, providing feedback from fellow citizens and serving as an ambassador of the project.
If you are interested in serving on the GPAC, please complete and submit a GPAC application to the City Clerk’s office by August 11, 2014.
The City Council is scheduled appoint General Plan Advisory Committee members at its August 19, 2014, meeting.
