[ARCHIVED] Quirion Named Interim Public Works Director

Menlo Park City Manager Alex D. McIntyre has announced the appointment of Jesse Quirion as interim Public Works Director, beginning June 20, 2014.

Quirion joined the City staff in 2013 as Transportation Manager. Prior to Menlo Park, he held positions with the cities of San Jose, CA, and Port St. Lucie, FL, and a private sector paving and roadway maintenance company. He holds a Bachelor of Science degree in Civil Engineering from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University and a Master of Public Administration degree from Nova Southeastern University.

Quirion replaces Chip Taylor, who recently accepted a position as Public Works Director for the City of Millbrae. Taylor spent nine years working in Menlo Park, the final three as Public Works Director.

"I am confident in Jesse’s leadership and abilities.  He is a creative, energetic, and diligent manager with knowledge of the many aspects of Public Works," said McIntyre. "While we are sad to lose Chip, we are fortunate to have someone like Jesse to step up."
