On Friday, October 17, 2014, a delegation of 13 executive officers and 9 vice mayors from several Chinese cities and provincial departments will visit Menlo Park. The delegation, led by Mr. Zhang Qi, Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, seeks to promote the exchange of ideas and enhance cooperative relationships and diversity in fields such as education, technology, innovation, social services, small business development, cultural affairs, agriculture, and more between the United States and China.

The event recognizes Menlo Park’s significant role in Silicon Valley and the City’s dedication in promoting international exchanges, especially regarding local government management, economic development, and potential collaborations.
