On Friday, October 17, 2014, a delegation of 13 executive officers and 9 vice mayors from several Chinese cities and provincial departments will visit Menlo Park. The delegation, led by Mr. Zhang, Qi, Vice Secretary-General of the Chinese Overseas Friendship Association, seeks to promote the exchange of ideas and enhance cooperative relationships and diversity in fields such as education, technology, innovation, social services, small business development, cultural affairs, agriculture, and more between the United States and China.
The event recognizes the City of Menlo Park’s significant role in Silicon Valley and the City’s dedication in promoting international exchanges, especially regarding local government management, economic development, and potential collaborations.
The City of Menlo Park and the China Overseas Friendship Association will host a reception for the Chinese Mayoral Delegation from 10:30 – 11:30 am, Friday, October 17, 2014, at the Rosewood Sand Hill, 2825 Sand Hill Rd, Menlo Park, CA 94025.
