The City recently completed an upgrade of its business license software. The most significant functionality improvement of the new software is the ability to process business license applications and renewals online. The Finance Department mailed over 3,700 business license renewal forms for 2015 last week with instructions on how renew online and a number of online renewals have already been received. This is the first step in migrating to a paperless business license program. Going forward, license certificates will be emailed to taxpayers, and for 2016 renewals, the goal is to be 100% paperless.
