Drop off location for Hurricane victims

Hurricane Harvey devastated Houston and its surrounding population some weeks back, leaving thousands of people without much more than the clothes on their backs. Harvey which has killed approximately 83 people, destroyed or damaged over 100,000 homes, flooded neighborhoods and displaced over 30,000 in Texas as well as Louisiana has had an huge toll on the country Therefore as the citizens return to their neighborhoods and figure out what comes next, recovering from a disaster of this magnitude could take years.

In light of recent events throughout the country, the Onetta Harris Community Center will collaborate up with East Palo Alto and Menlo Park youth sports programs such as the Roadrunners, Elite Athletes Journey, Peninsula Basketball Club and other local programs to help the victims of Hurricane Harvey. You can help heal the city of Houston and families in need by giving back and donating items. Drop off your donations Saturday, Sept. 30, Saturday, Oct. 14, Saturday, Oct. 28, and Friday, Nov. 17, from 3-6 p.m. in the Onetta Harris Community Center parking lot located at 100 Terminal Ave. Menlo Park, Ca 94025.
