As part of a California Office of Traffic Safety (OTS) grant, the police department is hosting a child safety seat installation and inspection event to provide traffic safety education Sunday, Sept. 17, 2017, from 9 a.m. to 1 p.m. in the Burgess Park parking lot located at 701 Laurel Street. Residents are encouraged to bring their vehicle with their car seats to this FREE event.

Certified child safety seat technicians will be on hand to assist with checking for recalls, proper fit and help with correct seat installation. No appointments needed and refreshments provided for the children.

For proper use of a child safety seat, parents/guardians should bring the safety seat and all of its parts, the vehicles owner's manual and the child safety seat instructions.
