Menlo Park is getting new bus shelters! On Saturday, July 22, 2017, SamTrans installed a new bus shelter to serve the Belle Haven community. The shelter is along SamTrans route 281 at Market Place Park on Market Place near Alpine Avenue. This stop also serves San Mateo County’s Park Shuttle. The City has also recently ordered two additional shelters and is working on the installation details and location specifics. One will be installed at the Onetta Harris Community Center campus and the other will be installed along Willow Road to connect with AC Transit’s Dumbarton Express service. These shelters will benefit many members in the community by providing a covered place for transit riders to wait for their buses and connections. These shelters are a result of the hard work and involvement of many in the community. For more information about bus routes and connections, please see the SamTrans webpage, the Dumbarton Express webpage and the San Mateo County’s Park Shuttle webpage.
