Bay Road between Willow and Van Buren will be completely closed from 5 a.m. until 10 p.m., Monday through Saturday starting July 24, 2017, until Aug. 11, 2017. PG&E crews are doing final gas pipeline installation and testing which requires longer work days for public safety. Please use Middlefield Road or U.S. 101 during these times and expect delays along Willow Road.

PG&E is relocating a gas main in this area in advance of the Willow-101 interchange project. the gas line work is expected to be completed by the end of August 2017. The interchange project will replace the existing interchange with a new, wider bridge; add sidewalks on both sides, bike lanes on both sides, and protected bike paths on both sides; and add two signalized intersections. The current "full cloverleaf" style interchange will be replaced with a "partial cloverleaf" which will eliminate the short merge weaves both on Willow Road and on the freeway and will create a more efficient way for all modes of traffic, including bikes and pedestrians, to get across the freeway at Willow Road.

Visit the project webpage or more information about the project and stay tuned to the Construction News Updates for regular updates on construction activities and impacts.
