A joint community emergency drill with community resident volunteers, organizations and Community Emergency Response Team (CERT) first responders will be held Saturday, June 24, from 8 a.m. – 1 p.m. at Fremont Park. Menlo Park residents are encouraged to participate in the drill (no prior emergency response experience required.) This drill, “Neighbors Helping Neighbors,” is organized by the Menlo Park Fire Protection District's Community Crisis Management Team (CCM-CERT), in cooperation with the City of Menlo Park, and Menlo Park Police Department.

At this drill, residents will learn more about how we respond as a community in an emergency and learn how our CERT teams and equipment are used to help our neighbors and neighborhoods. The goal is to better prepare Menlo Park residents in case of a disaster and to improve collaboration between the City, first responders and volunteers during a major emergency.

Registration is required before the event. Click this link to sign up for the drill. For more information, contact Mike Ralston, program director at Menlo Park Fire Protection District.
