Over the weekend of March 31, 2017, a group of multidepartment City Staff banded together to hike the Skyline-to-the-Sea Trail, starting at the edge of Castle Rock State Park and finishing at the Pacific Ocean. The 3 day trek spanned a total distance of 31 miles and carried the group through the Santa Cruz Mountains which were still recovering from the winter months of heavy rainfall. Together, the group worked around fallen trees, crossed trails that had been washed away by landslides and navigated detours through the wilderness all while building teamwork and camaraderie. All members of the group made it to the end and reported back to City Hall Monday morning.
