Commander Dave Bertini sat as guest panelists during a community forum on immigration. Joining them was East Palo Alto
Vice Mayor Ruben Abrica and East Palo Alto Police
Chief Al Pardini along with Immigrations Attorneys from Stanford University and Community Legal Services.
The purpose of the event was for the immigrant community to hear the official position of the Menlo Park and East Palo Alto city councils and police departments on recent changes in immigration enforcement and new Executive Orders. The panel also answered questions about immigrant’s rights and resources available to them. Almost 200 people attended the forum that helped ease the anxiety that many in the immigrant community are currently experiencing.
