A remodeled, expanded, or new library could offer Menlo Park residents exciting new possibilities. Menlo Park Library users and supporters met on March 1st as part of the Library Space Needs Study.  A study focus group has been meeting for the past four months to define what the community’s needs are for the library now and in the future. Architects from Noll & Tam reviewed three options that have emerged from the process: a substantial remodel of the existing building, a one-story new building, and a two-story new building. These  plans  define the space required for 21st century library activities.

The current library has been remodeled several times, most recently in 1990 and still contains parts of the original building constructed in 1959. The results of the Library Space Needs Study will be presented to the City Council in a study session at a meeting in the near future.
