On Feb. 1, Tim Weber, a Menlo Park building inspector on his way to work noticed a suspicious person loitering at the San Mateo Caltrain Station. As the train approached the station, the person grabbed a women’s purse and phone and ran from the station. Mr. Weber notified the San Mateo Police Department, while pursuing the person for several blocks. He was able to catch up and assist in the apprehension of the person. The San Mateo Police Department expressed gratitude for his help.
