There is new outdoor furniture near the front of the library. A metal table with attached seats and a canopy was recently installed in the lawn area just outside the front door. The popular new addition attracted attention and appreciation as soon as it was in place. Manufactured by Landscape Forms Inc., the table is part of their collection of high performance public site furniture designed to promote social life in outdoor spaces. The table features five metal seats with backs along with ample space for wheelchair access. The shade umbrella has a graceful winged aluminum canopy that protects from the sun and imparts a sense of place. Built to last and take heavy use, all components are steel and cast aluminum covered with a powder coat. The piece has a recycled material content of 68 percent and is 100 percent recyclable.
