The Menlo Park Senior Center hosted its annual Red, White and Blue Picnic July 15, with over 80 festively dressed seniors in attendance. A delicious barbecue lunch was served while a local musician, Felton Brookter, played music and sang popular songs from the 1960s. Later in the event, patrons with the most festive outfits were recognized and awarded for their creativity. Throughout the program, staff took the opportunity to speak with individuals, especially the patrons who are recent US Citizens, regarding registering to vote.
