The City has issued a
request for proposals to perform a space needs study for the
Menlo Park Library. This study will explore how a new or remodeled library building might be configured to better serve the community needs now and into the future. The study builds upon the soon to be completed library strategic plan studying the community’s growth patterns and demographics to identify service needs with respect to future library trends and technologies. The result of the strategic plan will be a comprehensive overview of library service goals, objectives and activities. The goal of the space needs study is to translate the recommendations of the strategic plan into flexible, efficient and functional arrangements for the library's collections and services that will allow the library to meet community needs for the next 15 to 20 years.
