Menlo Park Police Canine (K-9) Officer Manny Torres and his K-9 partner “Hardy” recently participated in the third annual mini courses week at Hillview School. During the week, students had an opportunity to be more involved in their education and make choices about what they want to study. The Police Department participated in two subjects, “Caring for Critters” and “How is it made,” in which Officer Torres shared what it takes to become a dog handler and how Hardy trained to become a police dog.
