Book-sorting room renovation project moves forward

Posted on January 8, 2016 at 4:08 pm by Clay Curtin

Public Works recently received three bids for the Library book-sorting room renovation project. The project area is away from the public and will only minimally impact library staff. The project will expand the book sorting room by removing a wall and combining an adjacent office/storage room in order to make enough space to add additional book sorting bins. The project will increase the efficiency of the book-sorting unit by 30 percent, to scan and sort a larger number of returned books. The work should begin by the second week of February with a project duration of 14 days.
