Screening of the documentary movie,
BULLY, will be held Wednesday, Dec. 2, 2015 from 7-9 p.m. at the Hillview Middle School Performing Arts Center. The movie's director Lee Hirsch, will be on hand to host a question and answer segment. Hirsch is a
n past Emmy and Sundance Award-winning filmmaker
. The movie will run 98 minutes followed by Q&A with Hirsch. The movie is free to attend, but is Rated R and may not be suitable for all audiences. Parental discretion is advised.
BULLY is a 2011 documentary film about bullying in U.S. schools and is connected to
the BULLY Project. The film follows the lives of five students who face bullying on a daily basis. Bully has been promoted as an important advocacy tool against bullying and in facilitating an anti-bullying movement The BULLY Project is a social action campaign inspired by the award-winning film BULLY, which is a national movement to stop bullying that is transforming kids’ lives and changing a culture of bullying into one of empathy and action.
