GPAC Holds Kickoff Meeting & Plans Community Workshops

Posted on August 30, 2014 at 10:58 pm by Clay Curtin

ConnectMenlo LogoThe General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) held its kickoff meeting on August 25, 2014.  GPAC members serve as ambassadors of the General Plan Update and M-2 Area Zoning Update and will help guide the process over the next two years.  At its first meeting, the GPAC confirmed that the effort will be branded as ConnectMenlo, with its logo depicting the major roadway intersections of the M-2 Area, and its meaning serving to illustrate the interconnectedness between land use and mobility, and the connectivity between people and places.

The GPAC also discussed the upcoming community workshops.  Menlo Park residents and members of the business community will play a critical part in the success of this effort.  The overall project schedule includes a variety of opportunities to participate in the process.   Upcoming events include workshops, an educational series, mobile tours, and an online survey.  The first event will be a community workshop, which will be held twice in September. All are welcome to attend both, but the same presentation will be given at each session.
