Annual mowing to remove weeds at
Bedwell Bayfront Park is underway. This process takes nearly two weeks to cover all 160 acres of the park. The unique location of the park provides nesting habitat for a variety of birds and the mowing schedule is coordinated to occur after nesting season, but before the tall grass becomes a fire hazard around July 4th. The mechanical clearing of weeds at Bedwell Bayfront Park is one of the many environmentally friendly practices of the City’s
Integrated Pest Management Policy.
