On June 1, the City began power washing downtown sidewalks using repurposed water. The work is performed daily from 5:00-9:00 am to minimize impacts for residents and businesses. The project should be completed by June 11, just in time for the 9th Annual Summer Block Party
on June 17. In compliance with drought restrictions, this water is repurposed storm drain water, collected at the pump station on Chrysler Drive. This is one innovative solution developed by Menlo Park’s public works department to maintain a high level of service while adhering to water conservation restrictions.
