On May 18, 2015, the Planning Commission unanimously selected John Onken as Chair and Katherine Strehl as Vice Chair for the next year. Both commissioners respectively had the longest terms of service without previously serving in these leadership roles. Commissioner Onken is a practicing architect and has brought design-related skills to the commission, while Commissioner Strehl previously served on the Transportation Commission before joining the Planning Commission. Strehl is also a current member of the General Plan Advisory Committee.
