City street conditions are inching up

Posted on April 25, 2015 at 10:50 pm by Clay Curtin

On April 13, 2015, the Metropolitan Transportation Commission issued a press release on the condition of Bay Area roads. The MTC report shows that last year’s Bay Area average pavement condition index (PCI) score was 66 out of a maximum 100 points. Menlo Park's PCI in 2014 was 77. Menlo Park received a grant from MTC in the amount of $29,000 to update its pavement management report which will survey all the streets in the city and determine the PCI in accordance to standards set by MTC. This report is used in determining which streets should be included in our street resurfacing projects.
