The Government Finance Officers Association
recently awarded Menlo Park the Certificate of Achievement for Excellence in Financial Reporting
for its comprehensive annual financial report for the fiscal year ended June 30, 2014. The Certificate of Achievement is the highest form of recognition in governmental accounting and financial reporting. In order to be awarded this certificate, a government must publish an easy to read and efficiently organized comprehensive annual financial report, as well as satisfy both generally accepted accounting principles and applicable legal requirements. has received this recognition for over 20 consecutive years.
