August is National Water Quality Month, which is the perfect time to educate ourselves on where our water comes from and how we can preserve it. Educating ourselves is the best way to ensure that our water continues to be high quality and free of contamination.
Each year, Menlo Park Municipal Water, produces an annual consumer confidence report on water quality conditions for the previous calendar year. The 2021 water quality report contains a summary of water quality sampling results and other important information. The report describes where your water comes from and how it compares to drinking water standards set by the Environmental Protection Agency and the California State Water Resources Control Board’s Division of Drinking Water as well as includes water rate information.
To request a paper copy of the water quality consumer confidence report email Menlo Park Municipal Water.
In addition to being National Water Quality Month, Menlo Park Municipal Water wants to remind its customers to continue to conserve water and to take advantage of the water conservation rebates and incentives during this extreme drought.
A new conservation incentive Menlo Park Municipal Water is offering this summer is free self-audit tool kits for residential customers. A residential self-audit tool kit will assist customers in conserving water inside their home by understanding how much water is used and to look for potential leaks. The residential self-audit tool kit includes a step-by-step guide to teach you how to perform your own indoor survey, toilet dye tablets, a simple device to help measure your flow rates of your sinks and showers as well as general indoor leak information.
