Upcoming Safe Routes to School Task Force meetings

Posted on January 9, 2021 at 11:14 am by Clay Curtin

The purpose of Menlo Park's Safe Routes to Schools program is to enhance access to all schools that serve Menlo Park residents. The City leads the preparation of a Safe Routes to Schools plan with a particular focus on gathering input and feedback from school students, parents and residents near the school. The plans are also prepared in close coordination with the school district and administration.

A Task Force was formed in summer 2019 to help guide the program. The committee is made up of public school and district employees, City staff, local and regional organizations, police, community members and other relevant stakeholders to discuss issues, concerns and craft recommendations to improve the program.

The following meetings (virtual until further notice) will be on:
  • Wednesday, March 17, at 9 a.m.
  • Wednesday, June 16, at 9 a.m.
If you are interested in joining or learning more about the SRTS Task Force committee, please email the Safe Routes to School Team.
