The City Council annual reorganization meeting is Tuesday, December 15, 2020, starting at 5 p.m. At this meeting, the City Council will recognize outgoing Mayor Cecilia Taylor and City Councilmember Catherine Carlton, swear-in City Councilmembers-elect Jen Wolosin from District 3 and Ray Muller from District 5. The City Council will also select the new mayor and vice mayor for 2021.

Menlo Park’s City Council is the city's governing body. In general municipal elections occurring in even numbered years, its members are elected by district to four-year staggered terms. The mayor and vice mayor each serve one-year terms and are selected annually by the City Council in December.
