The City/County Association of Governments of San Mateo County (C/CAG) is set to update their 2011 Comprehensive Bicycle and Pedestrian Plan. The goal of the updated Plan is to identify opportunities and resources to address the planning, design, funding and implementation of bicycle and pedestrian projects of countywide significance.
The updated plan will present a new vision, detailed goals and objectives and a new strategy for prioritizing walking and bicycling projects in San Mateo County to promote network connectivity, improve access to schools and transit, increase roadway safety and comfort, and promote an equitable distribution of projects.
To make sure the updated plan reflects the needs of community members, residents are encouraged to attend one of two workshops to learn about the innovative approaches for improving active transportation facilities in the region.
- Workshop 1 – November 9, 6-7 p.m., geared to county residents north of Highway 92
- Workshop 2 – November 10, 6-7 p.m., geared to county residents south of Highway 92
Menlo Park residents will likely to benefit from attending the second virtual workshop.
