The first event in the “Shelter-in-Play” series, Virtual Bingo Night, was a huge hit! On Friday, May 15, city staff hosted nearly 150 participants for this virtual event. In addition to providing 4 bingo games sprinkled with family-friendly jokes and trivia, guests had the chance to win e-gift cards to support their favorite local businesses.
This week’s winners received gift cards to Kepler’s Bookstore and Back-a-Yard Caribbean Grill, and both businesses are currently open for curbside pickup. Due to the overwhelming interest,
Virtual Bingo Night II takes place this Friday, May 22, at 6 p.m.
Staff is also rolling out weekly
community building social media contests, an upcoming craft hour and trivia night, as well as other activities to keep Menlo Park active, healthy and connected during the countywide shelter-in-place order.
