Staff will present the proposed $171.93 million city spending plan at the May 21, 2019, City Council meeting. Tuesday’s meeting will have an early start time of 5:30 p.m. to allow for a presentation about how the budget was created, the city’s financial policies, the local economic outlook and proposed changes in spending.

The fiscal year 2019-20 proposed budget is available for review now on the city’s website. Those unable to attend Tuesday’s meeting can follow along on the live stream or watch it on demand afterwards. Following Tuesday’s meeting, city staff will finalize the budget based on the City Council’s direction and bring it back for a public hearing as part of the June 4 meeting ahead of final adoption June 18. The new budget becomes effective July 1.
