The
Police Explorers coordinated their seventh annual coat drive from November 15, 2018, to January 6, 2019. With help from the community, the Police Explorers held a successful coat drive, providing more than 400 coats and jackets to those in need. This is well over double the donations received in past years. Some coats were personally delivered to people in need, with many being donated to local shelters. Special appreciation is extended to the Beeler family who held their own coat drive and donated the coats to the Police Explorer's drive! The need has never been greater as the weather has been cold and rainy. Thanks to all for helping spread warmth this winter!
One Warm Coat is a national nonprofit organization that supports and encourages coat drives. It helps individuals, groups, companies and organizations across the country collect coats and deliver them to local agencies that distribute the coats free to people in need. More than 5.6 million coats have been provided to those in need at no cost since its inception in 1992.
