On Thursday, November 1, the Park James Hotel officially opened its doors as Menlo Park's newest hospitality destination. The 61-room hotel is located at 1400 El Camino Real, at the corner of Glenwood Avenue, within the El Camino Real/Downtown Specific Plan area. Pollock Realty Corporation redeveloped the property, which was the site of a former Shell gas station.

At the celebration, guests enjoyed food from the kitchen of Oak and Violet, the new restaurant that is part of the hotel, and socialized in the central courtyard. The operator of the hotel reports that initial reservations have been strong, and that they are excited to be part of the Menlo Park business community.
