The application period for the at-large General Plan Advisory Committee (GPAC) members closes on Monday, August 11, 2014. The GPAC will be comprised of two members from the City Council, three at-large members and six members representing various City Commissions. At its respective meeting, the various Commissions have nominated the following representatives to serve on the GPAC:
- Parks and Recreation Commission - James Cebrian
- Bicycle Commission - Matthew Zumstein
- Transportation Commission - Adina Levin
- Planning Commission - Katherine Strehl
- Housing Commission - Michele Tate
The nomination from the Environmental Quality Commission is still pending, but will be forwarded to the City Council for consideration and confirmation during its August 19 meeting. At that meeting, the City Council will also be selecting the three at-large members and the two City Council representatives. Thus far, the City Clerk has received three applications for the at-large positions. Please encourage fellow residents and business owners to participate in this rewarding process and submit a completed application to the City Clerk’s Office by 5:00 p.m. on Monday, August 11, 2014.
