[ARCHIVED] It's easier than ever to go electric and curb climate change impacts

The original item was published from June 21, 2021 8:54 pm to June 21, 2021 8:57 pm

Why go all-electric at home? It is the one of the greatest actions you can take (in addition to using electric vehicles) to curb climate change impacts for a better, healthy and more resilient community. Menlo Park's electricity is greenhouse gas-free, which means cleaner air and doing our part in the race to tackle climate change.

To help you get started, the Campaign for Fossil Free Buildings in Silicon Valley is happy to announce a new Electric Home Ambassador program to match those who are just starting to electrify their home with people who have already gone through the process. This program was created with the goal of making the home electrification transition easier and more affordable by sharing tips and tricks.

There are three ways that you can participate:
If you’re interested in being matched with an experienced electric home-owner to learn more about it, you can fill out this Talk to an Ambassador form.
If you are interested in becoming an Electric Home Ambassador, please fill out this Potential Ambassador form.
If you have replaced any gas appliances with electricity and would like to show your support and help spread the word, please complete a yard sign request form.

If you have more questions about the electrification process or would like to know more about possible rebates and local contractors, visit The Switch Is On for more information.
