Caltrain Bike/Pedestrian Undercrossing Study and Conceptual Design

The purpose of this project is to significantly improve the safety for access of pedestrians and bicyclists across the Caltrain tracks between Ravenswood Avenue and San Francisquito Creek. This project will examine several potential locations where a tunnel could be constructed in the future. The final plan line for the project will be coordinated with the El Camino Real/Downtown Specific Plan and the potential High Speed Rail Alignment/Location.

This project is included in the City's General Plan and has been approved as a City Council Project Priority for fiscal year 2007-2008.
