It is the Mission of Belle Haven Child Development Center (BHCDC) to foster personal growth and community well being by providing opportunities for lifelong learning and social activities. BHCDC is licensed by the Department of Social Services (License #414001146) to provide quality subsidized and fee-based full time child development services to families in Menlo Park and surrounding cities. The program is funded by the State Department of Education and administered by the City of Menlo Park. The program builds and enhances children's self esteem by offering developmentally appropriate materials and activities that support social, emotional, physical and cognitive abilities, to better prepare the children for Kindergarten. The program recognizes and respects diversity and individual needs of families, children and staff in a professionally organized setting. The program features a highly trained, committed, nurturing and bilingual staff with a teacher to child ratio of 1:8. Children are provided with an organic breakfast, lunch and snacks daily. The program also features two field trips per year. Registrations are accepted year-round.
