Journalist and Stanford alum Alison Carpenter Davis shares stories of student lives from the Pioneer Class to the 21st century.

Meet Alison Carpenter Davis, who in her new book, Letters Home from Stanford, has collected the hand-written and electronic correspondence of generations of Stanford students. She will be sharing some of the fascinating tales she unearthed.

About Alison Carpenter Davis
Alison Carpenter Davis graduated from Stanford in 1979. Her articles have appeared in Stanford magazine, the Chicago Tribune, the International Herald Tribune, and The Des Moines Register, among others. She was formerly an editor at Outside magazine and an adjunct professor at Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
