Teen activities

All programs are set up so teens will be with others of the same age and same grade. We offer a series of programs focusing on everything from sports and adventure, to education and career development.

Sky's The Limit
Grades 6th - 8th
Meets Monday through Friday 12:30 - 5:30 pm during the Summer season.
Location: Onetta Harris Community Center

Are you in 6th, 7th or 8th grade? Do you want something fun to do this summer? Do you like to go on field trips geared towards teens? Do you want a place where you can feel safe and free to be yourself? Look no further! Sky's the Limit is for you!

Join us from Monday through Friday from 12:30 to 5:30 pm at the Onetta Harris Community Center. And did we mention it is absolutely free? Note: There is a $25 field trip fee for this program. 

The mission of Sky's the Limit is to develop and shape youth into young adults, by giving them the experience to work as teams and become leaders. This program gives youth the opportunity to reach their academic and social potentials with a mix of homework help, athletics and a social atmosphere. Youth will have a chance to participate in a variety of activities and discussions with positive influences for their lives.

Mouse Squad
Grades 6th - 8th
Meets on Wednesdays from 3:00 - 4:00 pm
Location: Onetta Harris Community Center

The Mouse Squad is for youth interested in learning how to provide service to their school and community while learning video production, IT (Information Technology), developing social networking skills, and customer service. Not only will participants have the opportunity to learn new skills that will help them in the future, they also develop a sense of confidence and leadership skills.

The program is held in the Onetta Harris Community Center Computer Lab. This is a free drop-in program.

Programs may change, days and times. Currently our hours are Monday through Friday from Noon to 8:00 pm. The center is closed on Saturdays, Sundays and city holidays, except for rentals, classes or special events.
